Ram's Top Ten Success | Brampton and Mississauga
Posted on September 15, 2017
Truck lovers tend to be fierce brand-loyalists. Fiat Chrysler began wooing the domestic truck segment back in 1994 with the release of the all-new Ram 1500 pickup, and the lovefest continues today. Quality engines are central to Ram’s success: the 5.7-L Hemi V-8 is a legacy draw, while the Cummins 6.7-L turbodiesel six-cylinder enjoys an impressive following. The inline six Cummins provides drivers with a smooth, less mechanically complicated ride than the Ford and GM V-8 diesels. Ram’s newer “EcoDiesel” engine packs a little less punch than the Cummins, but time will tell. Ram has soared upward in the IQS rankings this year from a lower position last year. JP Power clocked a 28 PP100 improvement overall for Ram. Honourable mention went to the beloved Ram 1500 in the large light-duty pickup segment. We look forward to seeing what develops for this brand in the coming few years, especially here on the streets and expressways in Brampton and Mississauga.
