Amandeep Dillon: Hello, my name is Amandeep Dillon. I’m a salesperson here at Team Chrysler. Right behind me, I have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe model.
Interviewer: So tell us, what’s special about the Jeep Wrangler? Why the hype?
Amandeep: There are so many special things about Jeep Wranglers. One of the things I’ll start with is its resale value. This vehicle is not only a good financial decision for a person to purchase, but it’s also the best reselling vehicle on the market and one of the best-selling SUVs. What makes the Wrangler special is its off-roading capability. There’s obviously a great, amazing look right behind me, but what’s underneath this car is what makes it special. It has four-by-four capability, the high-strength steel it’s built with, the articulation of the angles of the axles, and the customizability. Every single Jeep owner can make it their own. You can change the fender flares, the bumpers, and the top. Plus, you can also opt for very unique colors. There are numerous colors released over the years, and many are particular to that year. This one behind me is a firecracker red, but in 2023, there’s a new earl gray color and a pumpkin metallic color, among others.
Interviewer: I’ve heard that when driving a Wrangler, other Jeep drivers often wave. What does that signify?
Amandeep: That means you’re part of the Jeep Club. When people see your Jeep, they wave, recognizing you’re part of that off-roading community. This car isn’t just about commuting; it’s about enjoyment. You can take off the doors, remove the top, and experience an open-air feeling like no other vehicle. You’ll be part of this Jeep community with people waving and honking, all in good spirit. Interviewer: Can you tell us about the engine options?
Amandeep: Certainly! Wranglers come in three different options. There’s the two-liter combined with an electric motor, the 6-liter V6 engine, and the two-liter combined with an electric motor is the newest technology available. It’s not just an incredibly capable vehicle, but this new engine also offers more horsepower, producing 385 horsepower when combined. It surpasses the traditional gas engine. Jeep aims to provide better off-roading capability and improved acceleration and drive quality with these newer models.
Interviewer: What about the “Easter eggs” Jeep is known for?
Amandeep: Absolutely. Let’s take a quick walk around. On some Wranglers, you’ll find a Jeep sign on the wheels, or a little Jeep icon climbing the windshield. Inside the Jeep Wrangler, there are many features to notice. This particular one is a top trim level with blue-stitched leather, an indicator of the hybrid model. The gas models have red stitching. Rubicons and vehicles like this are premium but rugged. They are rain-resistant; you can let the rain in and simply let the vehicle dry out. Every Jeep Wrangler also has drainage plugs under the seats. The materials used inside are also rain-resistant.
Interviewer: And the driving experience?
Amandeep: With the Jeep Wrangler, you won’t get the smoothest of drives due to its design. It’s made to go anywhere and climb mountains. However, with the newer vehicles, you get a better suspension, making it more comfortable to drive. The hybrid models are heavier, providing more stability, and are known to wobble less at higher speeds. One thing to note is that these 4xe models intelligently switch between gas and electric based on the vehicle’s assessment of power output. The purpose isn’t to eliminate dependency on gas, but to reduce the fuel economy rating. From my experience, you can achieve around 8 liters per 100 kilometers with the 4xe, while the gas ones offer around 12 to 13.
Interviewer: So, it’s essential to understand your needs when buying a Jeep?
Amandeep: Absolutely. When buying a Jeep, you have to plan it out and understand what you’re using it for, whether daily driving or off-roading. There are different setups, specs, and modifications you can opt for. This is a car you can truly make your own.
