Chrysler Canada 'Can'structs' a Caravan in Toronto
Posted on November 12, 2013
On November 3rd two of the great vehicles we have here at Team Chrysler Jeep Dodge celebrated their 30th birthday, and to honor them our brand did something special right down the road from our Mississauga, Ontario showroom in Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square.
For the anniversary of both the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans the brand did something extraordinary, while once again helping the community. Both of these awesome vehicles are active in helping all across Canada, especially the Caravan, which has assisted youth hockey players and their families across the country for seven years now.
In the Yonge-Dundas Square Chrysler Canada partnered with the non-profit organization Canstruction and the Daily Bread Food Bank in creating a life sized representation of the Grand Caravan entirely out of canned goods.
In total, 30,000 cans went into the construction of the Dodge Grand Can'avan, all of which were eventually distributed to those in need around Toronto. Local high school and university students took to creating the masterpiece, and after 10 hours the Can'avan was finished in the Square.
Standing next to a real life brand-new 2014 Grand Caravan, the can version was on display for two days before it was deconstructed and donated. If you were present for the event or saw the completed replica and took photos stop by our showroom because we would love to see them, and while you're at it browse our great selection of new Chrysler family vehicles.
Our Mississauga dealership serves the Toronto, Ontario region, and while we may not have a can version of any of our models we have the real things, ones that actually can drive. Stop by today, our showroom is located right on the corner of Bancroft and Mavis, a few short blocks from the BraeBen Golf Course.
