Amped up 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 'Hellcat' Spied
Those of you out there who've driven the Dodge
Challenger might liken the speed and power of this popular muscle car
to the lyrics of a famed Metallica song. "Give me fuel, give me fire, give
me that which I desire." Seems fitting, doesn't it? Just you wait. Once
you hear about what the American manufacturer is offering with the
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 'Hellcat', you might want to pick
a slightly heavier song.
Recently, spy photographers caught the new
Challenger SRT testing out in the hot sands of Death Valley, California. This choice
of location is no accident. For a car that's slated to have the kind of power
as this one, performing well under hot conditions is a must. After all, why
would the car need such low intake valves if not to cool the engine?
So, what kind of power are we talking about here?
Something to the tune of 640 horsepower. That's comparable to the V-10 powered
Viper supercar--only the Challenger SRT does it better, with a smaller HEMI
V-8. To achieve this, the engineers have gone all out to tweak the performance,
with all-new suspension and lighter frame work to make sure you feel every bit
of that beasting acceleration.
For those of you who crave extra muscle with your
muscle car, the 2015 Challenger SRT 'Hellcat' is a must. It won't be out until
next summer at the earliest, but we'll keep you updated with news through our blog.
Maybe that kind of "oomph" isn't your
thing? That's okay. There are plenty of other amped up cars under the Dodge
brand, such as the Charger
