Insiders say it has the underpinnings from the next-generation Ram pickup, so look for air springs on the new Wagoneer. FCA has also said that the new Ram will offer the option of hybridized vehicles, so we’re pretty sure the Wagoneer will echo that, too. And keep an eye out for these powertrains: A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is a likely possibility on the entry-level models, while the 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter Hemi V-8s might be options. A diesel engine will not be offered.

The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will both be body-on-frame SUVs. Under those leather and wood luxury details beats the heart of a truck. You’ll see a price tag to match the luxe style, well worth it by all pre-release accounts.  The Wagoneer will be a shorter model SUV, while the Grand Wagoneer will stretch out like an Escalade.
