If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, as the old adage goes. Jeep took that advice to heart with the Used Jeep Wrangler JL. For its second year, the JL sports a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 and a 2.0-litre Turbo I-4 with eTorque. The 3.6-litre engine delivers 285 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque. If that’s not enough to float your boat, or in this case, drive your Jeep, the optional 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine punches up 270 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. Oakville and Burlington Jeep lovers, why not consider the iconic Wrangler? You won’t be disappointed.

The powerful driveline of the Sahara and Sport models still offer  the Command-Trac NV241 part-time, two-speed transfer case, featuring a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio and next-generation front and rear Dana axles. Also, an optional Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential grips the surface and provides extra torque in sand, snow, mud or other low-traction scenarios.

The Sahara boasts a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case, with a full-time four-wheel drive and a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio. The transfer case reads the road for you so you can sit back, while it sends constant power to the front and rear wheels.

The Rubicon model rolls on heavy-duty, next-generation front and rear Dana axles and features enhanced off-road rock rails, as well as the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio. Also included are electric front and rear-locking differentials, a disconnecting front sway bar and 33-inch BF Goodrich KM All-Terrain tires. Look out, back-roads! We’re coming for ya!

Optional on the Rubicon and Sahara four-door trims is the Sky One-Touch powertop. Not everybody can close a roof at 100KMs an hour, but you can, on-the-fly, with either of these models. Wheeee!

Wrangler still boasts its best-in-class approach angle of 44 degrees and a breakover angle of 27.8 degrees. Along with a departure angle of 37 degrees and almost 11 inches of ground clearance you can eat-up virtually any terrain and still get home in time for breakfast.

The fourth-generation UConnect system still offers Apple Car Play, Android Auto and two optional choices in touchscreen size: 7.0 inches or 8.4 inches. Standard on the Sport is a 5.0 screen.

While we told you the 2019 JL remains virtually unchanged, it has had a little fine-tuning. Wrangler’s Advanced Safety Group package will now feature adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. Always nice of Jeep to find additional ways to keep you safe, right?

New for 2019, in the fun department, is a splashy new color called Bikini. Other returning colors are: Hella Yella, Bright White, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Black, Firecracker Red, Sting Gray, Punk’n Mettalic and Ocean Blue Metallic.
