2019 Jeep Cherokee Specs| For Sale| Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto
Ahh, summer. It’s been a little elusive this year in Mississauga and Brampton, but we’d like to cheer you up with the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The new model crossover has retained what works and focused on some popular changes to the previous generation’s design and interior roominess. As an added bonus, they’ve offered drivers a third engine option.
We like the new, contemporary flat-faced front grille that says adios to the slotted grille and narrowed snout of the previous model. Positioned between the Compass design and the larger Grand Cherokee option, the new Cherokee has a wider face and bigger headlamps, which improves the overall design impact while still staying true to Jeep’s roots. The rear end is less bulbous and the carmaker has added some nice design tweaks including a capless fuel door, lighter liftgate, and LED wrapped taillights, to name a few of the changes.
Here’s something off-roading enthusiasts will like: there’s a new 2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine option of the menu. Your choice previously was between the 2.4-liter 4 cylinder and the larger 3.2-liter V6. The turbocharged 4-cylinder retains the good fuel economy ratings but grabs some of the muscle power of the V6. EPA ratings are as follows: with front-wheel drive: 26 mpg (9 l/100km) combined, with 23 mpg (10.2 l/100km) in the city and 31 mpg (7.6 l/100km) on the highway. The four-wheel-drive stats are: 25 mpg combined (9.4 l/100km), with 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway (10.7 l/100km and 7.6 l/100km). EPA ratings for the 2.4 L base engine are 25 mpg combined in FWD and 24 mpg combined in 4WD. While the legendary Cherokee is a capable vehicle on or off-road, trail-seekers might enjoy the 2-litre turbo just a little bit more. The engine option that works best for you will, as always, depend on your specific needs as a driver.
This is still a Jeep, so you’ll get some of the trademark bounce, but the 2019 Cherokee nevertheless has a smoother feel on the road than her predecessor. Spacious, super-comfortable and ever-conscious of cargo needs, the Cherokee also provides excellent connectivity options for busy drivers in Mississauga and Brampton. Kitted out with the latest-gen Uconnect system, wifi and speech-to-text options, your daily commute or weekend escapes will be enhanced by up-to-the-moment infotainment systems that also enhance safety.
