2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Features Ultimate Off-Road Talent
The grandest jeep of them all, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is being launched with more off-road capability than ever. This Trailhawk will come with the standard Cherokee 3.6-litre V-6 engine and the optional EcoDiesel V-6 and Hemi V-8. Earlier versions of the Trailhawk were introduced on the 2012 and 2013 Grand Cherokee models, but it’s this summer’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk that makes a solid butch statement and comes through with superlative off-roading talent.
The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will sit as the sixth trim after the Laredo, Limited, Overland, SRT and the Summit. It will be available with rear-wheel drive or Quadra-Trac 1. The four-wheel drive, electronic limited-slip rear differential, hill ascent and descent control, skid plates and Kevlar-reinforced 18-inch Goodyear Adventure tires will all be standard with the 2017 Trailhawk.
On top of that, the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk stands apart with red badging that is “Trail-Rated”, grey door mirrors and grey roof rack. Different paint colour choices include Billet Silver, Redline Red, Rhino, Bright White, Velvet Red, Diamond Black or Granite Crystal. Optional Mopar rock rails and 20-inch wheels are available for that extra protection on the trails.
Interior seats are black leather-covered, with red-stitched microsuede. A piano-black dashboard comes accented with gunmetal-coloured trim, and a Trailhawk badge makes the steering wheel look just stunning. The touchscreen is a standard 8.4-inch and Chrysler’s Uconnect system rounds out the high-tech interior with special wheel articulation and suspension setting displays.
